Senior Fraud Prevention Seminar

BROKEN BOW—Off Broadway and Bruning State Bank are proud to sponsor this important seminar on fraud, specifically senior fraud. Make plans for Thursday, September 13 at 2:00 P.M. to attend this very important event. The seminar is set to take place at the Broken Bow Veterans Memorial Building  with outreach coordinator from the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, Ryan Sothan.

There will be two seminars, the first will begin at 2:00 P.M., covering, “Safety in Numbers: Four Lessons in Cyber-security.” This program is designed to give seniors a solid overview of best practices when it comes to safely using computers and software. In addition, safe use of the internet, social media and smart phones will also be covered.

The second seminar will begin at 5:00 P.M., covering the SAFE program. SAFE, is the Nebraska Senior Anti-Fraud Education Program that educates people to prevent the victimization of Nebraska’s seniors by arming them with tools to guard against consumer fraud and elder abuse.
