Semi Vs. Car Accident Slows Traffic on 23rd St.

COLUMBUS, Neb. - An accident involving a semi-truck and car resulted in a bit of a traffic jam in one direction on 23rd St. on Thursday. Sometime after 1:15 p.m. a blue Sedan heading eastbound struck the back of a semi on 23rd St. near the 26th Ave. intersection. There did not appear to be any injuries, as there was no ambulance on scene and both drivers could be seen talking to Columbus Police. The truck driver told NCN that he was stopped, when the car hit the rear bumper of the trailer, causing damage. The sedan suffered extensive damage to its front side and had to be towed away. Traffic was halted to just one eastbound lane on 23rd St for a bit, while police investigated the accident.
