I think it's just great to support the community and come out and enjoy one another.

- Pastor Todd Karges

The second Chamber of Commerce Third Thursday took place on August 17 with musical performances by Pastor Todd Karges. Pastor Karges and his wife Dianne have lived in Broken Bow for the last seven years and Todd is the Pastor of the United Methodist Church in town. "I think it's just great to support the community and come out and enjoy one another. What a wonderful, beautiful square we have here, the bandstand. And they've done such a great job to improve the area.  It's a great celebration," Karges said. The performances included songs from popular Broadway hits such as Westside Story, Les Miserables, Oklahoma, and also some Frank Sinatra songs. This August event was sponsored by The Arrow Hotel and Bonfire Grill & Pub in Broken Bow. Many vendors also participated in the event such as Buzzards Roost BBQ, Prairie Grounds Cafe & Gifts, Lipsense, root beer floats sponsored by Grocery Kart, and a pop-up art show by Wild Rose Gallery.   The Broken Bow Nebraska Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to enjoy future evenings of music, culture and life in the beautiful Downtown City Square. The Chamber is currently accepting vendors and organizations to participate in Third Thursdays. Please contact Hannah at the Chamber for more details at 308-872-5691 or email at [email protected].
