Search Warrants Last Week, Court Appearances This Week

CUSTER COUNTY— According to Custer County Court records, five people were scheduled for appearances in Custer County Court on Monday, December 10. Four of the five, Anthony Elder, 38 of Broken Bow, Joshua Oels, 37 of Broken Bow, Kyle McAlevy, 31 of Broken Bow, and Amy Lytle, 44 of Broken Bow, were arrested early last week after a search warrant was conducted by the Broken Bow Police Department and the Custer County Sheriff’s Office.

All four made their first appearances in court facing alleged charges of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Judge Tami Schendt set all four cases for preliminary hearing on January 7 at 3 P.M.

Larry Bottorf Jr., 49 of Sargent, appeared for pretrial hearing on alleged child abuse, strangulation, and 3rd degree assault. The case was set for preliminary hearing on February 25 at 1:30 P.M.
