Search For New East-Central Director Narrows

COLUMBUS - Officials are still on the search for a new director of the East-Central District Health Department in north Columbus, but Supervisor Tom Martens says the search is narrowing. Following the regular Platte County Board meeting on Tuesday, Martens shared that the search for a new director is narrowing. Martens says they have narrowed down some top candidates and are working hard to complete the interview process, as they work towards a final decision. Former Diretor Rebecca Rayman was fired earlier this year, in March, and worked with the department since it's formation in 1999, according to a press release. There was no reason made public by ECDHD offiicials, for why Rayman was let go from her position.
