Schuyler Man Pleas Not Guilty to Threatening Police Chief with Shotgun

SCHUYLER - A Schuyler man allegedly threatened the police chief, and said he would kill his friends in front of officers, say authorities. Hassan Mahamed, 25, recently plead not guilty to the charges of obstructing police, resisting arrest, theft, and felony terroristic threats, stemming from an incident on August 28th.  Mahamed is scheduled for a status hearing on December 20th, and is due for a trial before a jury on February 21st, says court records. An arrest affidavit says, Mahamed was arrested, after officers were called to a parking lot on F Street in Schuyler, in regards to people fighting. Police say when they arrived, Mahamed was alleging his friends took his phone and wallet, and was threatening to kill them in front of officers. Officers say Mahamed was eventually arrested, and say that  instead, Mahamed had actually stolen a wallet and phone from his friends. The affidavit says, Mahamed attempted to flee from police while he was handcuffed and being taken to the patrol car. Additionally when they arrived at the Butler County Detention Center, police state that Mahamed told the Schuyler Police Chief K.C. Bang, that if he showed up to his place of residence he would be waiting with a shotgun.
