Omaha, NE.—Not a lot of news but a lot of raised eyebrows from Senator Ben Sasse's guest-shot on Late Night with Steven Colbert.
During his Tuesday night appearance, the Nebraskan often called an anti-Trumper, was anti-Trump at times though he didn't always take the bait.
Sasse was never asked and didn’t offer any thoughts on an often-mentioned, although not by him, challenge to Trump in a 2020 GOP presidential primary— talk that upsets plenty of Nebraska Republicans.
Also on the table of course is the more likely chance he'll run for re-election to the Senate. According to his most recent fundraising numbers, Sasse has a little over $1.1 million.
