BROKEN BOW— Empty store locations do not stay that way very long on the Broken Bow City Square and when US Cellular closed its doors, Rustic Divas Home Décor & More took over and now call the same spot home.
Owned by Bobbi Magee, Rustic Divas has an array of clothing for all types of styles as well as candles, purses, perfume, custom signs, printed t-shirts, and more. On Wednesday, June 26 the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce welcomed the store to the ever growing list of chamber members.
While there are many stores on the square, Magee says she will set herself apart by going after a group that can sometimes be ignored, plus-sized women. Magee says that the other stores are great, but often carry smaller sizes which are where she will be different.
“I have been asked to start helping with more of the bigger sizes just because I am a bigger person and it is easier for me to dress myself and other girls like me than dressing people that are smaller,” said Magee.
While things have started off slow since opening in March, as well as the weather not cooperating, Magee says the foot traffic has been exceptionally better than her previous store location on South 10th Ave. That hope of more traffic hopefully means more business including re-purposing furniture and custom orders.
At the ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Magee says that her inspiration for the work she does comes from her mother who died in a car accident in November. Over the past few months, she has created custom t-shirts, jewelry, and many other items that honor her mother and the impact she had.
Rustic Divas Home Décor & More is open 10-6 Tuesday through Thursday, 10-5 on Friday, 10-4 on Saturday, and is closed Sunday and Monday.
