Runza Feeds The Need Day TODAY!!! 10% Of Proceeds To BB Food Pantry

Over the past four years, the Runza Feeds the Need fundraiser has raised more than $135,000 in support of local programs focusing on youth hunger and food insecurity. 10% of sales all day long will be donated to local youth hunger programs.

The Broken Bow Runza location will make its donations to the Broken Bow Food Pantry. While customers can help the cause by purchasing food through the app, dine-in, carry out, and drive-thru, in addition, the Broken Bow Runza location will donate an additional 10% of sales on all gift card purchases.

Bryan Palmer, manager at Runza, stated across Nebraska there are 1 in 6 kids that do not know where their next meal is going to come from. He said through this program, which is now in its fifth year, approximately $2,000 has been donated to the Broken Bow Food Pantry.

“That’s direct money. It’s not in kind, it’s not used food, it’s $2,000 that they can use to buy needed food,” said Bryan. “We appreciate the people that help us feed ourselves and our employees. We want to do our part as well.”

The Broken Bow Food Pantry is located at 1100 South 6th Avenue and is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. The food pantry accepts paper products, personal care products, shampoo, soap, cleaning items, Kleenex, paper towels, etc. For more information, call (308) 767-2020.
