Roads in East Nebraska Clear, Rest of State Covered in Snow, Ice

COLUMBUS - A small chunk of the state's roads are still clear, while a majority are covered in snow and ice. Roads southeast of line through Beatrice, York, and Columbus remain clear, but drive west from all three communities and you'll start to run into deteriorating road conditions. Roads east of Norfolk, and north of West Point and Madison are considered partially covered in snow. The Nebraska Department to Roads says highways west of Pierce, Norfolk, Albion, Central City, and Grand Island are complete covered in snow. Roads around North Platte, Stapelton, Arthur, Mullen, Thedford, and Highway 97 up through Valentine are considered impassable as of 6:50 a.m., says the NDOT. Road conditions are expected to change throughout the day, with a blizzard warning remains in effect until 7 p.m. Red=Impassable, Pink=Completely Covered, Blue=Partially Covered, Green=Normal
