Roads Expected to Turn Icy Late Wednesday, Early Thursday

COLUMBUS - The National Weather Service has posted estimated times for when they believe the water will begin turning into Ice, with Wednesday's storm. The National Weather Service says areas in north-central Nebraska will be seeing icy conditions first, at around 9 p.m., while the area from Albion to Norfolk could see icy conditions around 11 p.m. Wednesday. The Columbus area will be more likely to see icy conditions beginning around 12 a.m. on Thursday.  Areas further south near Lincoln will start seeing icier conditions around 1 a.m. or later. The Nebraska Department of Transportation is encouraging motorists to use extreme caution if they need to drive during these hours, and throughout the day on Thursday.
