SIDNEY, Neb. – A Verizon authorized retailer in Sidney, Neb. is warning Verizon customers of a scam.

Several customers, from Nebraska City and Lincoln to Sidney and Chadron, received a call from 1-800-922-0402 saying their “account has been suspended for verification. To reactivate your account, using the automated system, press one. To speak to a representative, press two.”

This is a scam, according to Miller Office Products in downtown Sidney.

“Do not respond or give out any personal information regarding your account. Don’t give out personal information over the phone. Verizon will never call you personally and ask for it.”

If Verizon customers have any questions or concerns, you are asked to call 1-800-922-0204.
