Retail Employees Get Life-Saving CPR Training

NORFOLK - Target employees underwent a potentially lifesaving training session on Monday by learning Hands-Only CPR. It was an event put on by Faith Regional Health Services to help educate employees what they need to do should they ever encounter a situation where someone enters cardiac arrest. Jenny Simmons the Faith Regional Chest Pain and Stroke Coordinator helped lead the training and says that the hand’s only method consists of just 2 concepts that may seem simplistic, but may also save a life. In addition to the training, Faith Regional has also been working closely with Norfolk Fire and Rescue personnel to implement the App Pulse Point in the community. Pulse Point alerts the user if someone nearby needs CPR, allowing them to potentially receive lifesaving treatment while waiting for first responders to arrive.
