Regional Center Rumble Suspects In Court

NORFOLK – Two suspects had their first appearance in court today for the alleged involvement in a fight that ended with two arrests and a lockdown of the Norfolk Regional Center.

David Swisher and Alejandro Quevedeo-Andretti were arrested and charged with making terroristic threats against facility staff on September 2nd.

Madison County Attorney Joseph Smith filed the cases and says the charges filed will mean extra jail time for the two suspects.

“The State Patrol investigates any assaults or criminal activity in a state facility, this is there. It was referred to us, we filed the cases. They are both felonies, terroristic threats is a ‘3A’ felony the maximum is three years in jail.”

Swisher’s and Quevedo-Andretti’s cases will be heard in district court after both parties are assigned attorneys on their behalf. Trial dates have not been set.
