Redken Artist from NYC Trains Staff at Royal Image Salon & Spa

NORFOLK, NE — Life is too short to have boring hair. Norfolk’s Royal Image Salon and Spa couldn’t agree more. In fact, their dedication to hair education has landed them on Redken’s Elite Status List. Since 2014, only 188 salons were on that list. Stylist at Royal Image, Cali Wachholtz says with the Elite Status, they get first access to new Redken information. “We have first choice at a lot of Redken education that a lot of others aren't seeing right now. We can see it before other salons with our elite status.” That’s not the only perk the status gets them. On Tuesday, the salon was one of 18 that welcomed a very special guest. Redken International artist from New York City, Sean Godard was the highlight of the day giving Royal Image stylist a full day of training on the latest trends and techniques. “I came from New York City and there is no one else in here that has been showing them how we do it in New York City... They definitely have an advantage over other salons, because I haven’t been to the other salons yet.” While this training is beneficial to the stylists, Godard says it’s all about the customers. If you’re someone who gets foils in their hair, but hate how long it takes, Godard showed the stylist a new technique that will get you out of the chair faster. Godard heads back to New York City before making his next trip to Tennessee.
