Recent Vehicle Accidents in Custer County

BROKEN BOW–According to Broken Bow Police Chief Steve Scott, a two vehicle accident occurred on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the intersection of North 10th Avenue and G. Tammy Kelly, 47 of Sargent was northbound in her 2008 Ford Pickup on 10th Avenue and Paula Page, 55 of Broken Bow was eastbound on G driving her 2003 Pontiac.

Page did not see Kelly and entered the intersection causing Kelly to hit the passenger side of Page’s vehicle. Page was transported to Melham Medical Center by ambulance and Kelly was transported by private vehicle. Injuries for both were believed to be non-life threatening. Broken Bow Fire & Rescue and the Broken Bow Police Department worked the scene.

On Thursday afternoon (December 14), a semi rollover accident was reported to Arcadia Fire and Rescue. The report stated that a semi rolled over near Highway 70 and Road 458 and that one person was trapped inside the truck but did get out. Any injuries are unknown at this time.

Friday (December 15) morning’s icy roads led to a one-vehicle accident seven miles southwest of Broken Bow on Ryno Road. Matthew Gloeckler was driving a 1999 white Toyota minivan heading south when he lost control and ended up in the east ditch. Sheriff Dan Osmond stated in a report that the minivan went over a steep embankment, through a fence, and came to rest facing southeast. No injuries were reported. The fence belonged to Chris Pearson according to the sheriff’s office.
