Public Advocacy Appointed To Double Homicide Case

NEBRASKA CITY – A May 31 preliminary hearing in Otoe County Court is scheduled for Brindar Jangir, the suspect in a double homicide in Douglas.

The Otoe County Public Defender’s Office asked the county judge to appoint the Nebraska Commission on Public Advocacy as co-counsel in the case.

Jangir, 36, is charged with the first degree murder of Randal and Annette Grimes. Otoe County sheriff’s deputies found the couple in their home on March 23 after a disconnected 911 call.
