Omaha, NE.—There is little doubt the number one issue in Thursday's first—and for now only— scheduled debate between Gov. Pete Ricketts and his Democratic challenger Bob Krist is property tax.
But not far behind is the state's overcrowded prison system and how to fix it.
The GOP accuses Krist of a soft on crime—let the bad guys out early—approach.
Krist says Ricketts and his Corrections Director (Scott Frakes, who Krist wants fired) are taking, among other things, a blind-eye approach.
