HALSEY–Julie Baine with the Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands told KCNI/KBBN that another prescribed burn is scheduled for today near Halsey (Click here to view Facebook page). Approximately 930 acres will be burned south of Highway 2. Eight engines and approximately 40 people will be on site to manage the burn.
Burning will likely take place all week in various areas, according to Baine.
