NORFOLK - Norfolk Police say a man who's taken thousands of dollars worth of items from a local store is in jail.
33-year old Yusniel Cala Gutierrez of Madison was arrested at Norfolk's Wal Mart on Wednesday. Officers say when they made contact with him, he had taken three cell phones from the store.
But they say that's just the latest in a string of thefts. Police say over the past three months, Gutierrez is accused of stealing $6,321 worth of items from Norfolk's Wal Mart.
He's currently being held in the Madison County Jail on a felony shoplifting charge.
