Plainview Man Waives Hearing in Assault Case

PIERCE - A Plainview man is headed to district court to face charges that he assaulted another man with a pair of pliers. Court records indicate that 34-year old Breygan Silva-Aguilar waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Pierce County Court Wednesday morning. He faces two felonies related to the assault of a co-worker in Plainview. Law enforcement officials say Silva-Aguilar attacked the co-worker with a pair of pliers, embedding the pliers into the victim's skull. The victim was life-flighted to UNMC Hospital in Omaha for emergency surgery and survived the attack. Silva-Aguilar will be arraigned in district court on May 31st in Pierce.
