Phase I Work to begin on US-183 and N-92, Ansley Viaduct

NORTH PLATTE — Weather permitting, work will begin February 24 on US-183, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Constructors, Inc. of Lincoln, Nebraska has the $7,520,955 contract. Phase I work will include removal of the bridge over Comer Canyon drainage and new box culverts. Traffic on US-183 will be maintained utilizing one-lane and temporary traffic signals.

Phase II work anticipated to begin in early April, will include bridgework on the Ansley Viaduct and pavement removal and replacement. This phase will require highway traffic to be detoured. Anticipated completion is late fall of 2020.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near construction work zones, expect delays and to always buckle up.
