Pair Arrested for Meth, Hypodermic Needles with Child in Vehicle

DAVID CITY - The Butler County Sheriff's Office says a pair were arrested with meth and hypodermic needles, after getting pulled over with a child in the vehicle. Sheriff Marcus Siebken says at approximately 5 p.m. on January 30th, a deputy initiated a traffic stop on Highway 15 in Butler County. After an investigation, the deputy placed Jessica Simmons and Benjamin Simmons under arrest for child abuse, possession of a controlled substance, and false reporting, says Siebken. The deputy reported finding hypodermic needles, methamphetamine, and marijuana in the vehicle, and placed the child into protective custody, says Siebken.
