OWH top ten polls feature area teams

Several area teams appear again in the weekly top ten football ratings put out by the Omaha World Herald. In Class C2, the Arcadia-Loup City Rebels move up from #10 last week to #8 this week. ALC is 3-0 this season and will host Cross County this Friday. In Class D1, South Loup is rated #3 following a shutout win of Bertrand (44-0) last week. The Bobcats are at Sutherland on Friday. Burwell is rated #7 in D1. The Longhorns are yet to surrender a point this season as they prepare to host Amherst this week. Twin Loup and Mullen both improved to 3-0 last week and are rated #3 and #6 respectively in the Class D2 poll. Twin Loup will play at North Central on Friday while Mullen will be at Wauneta-Palisade. Here are the top rated teams in each class this week : Class A – Omaha Burke ; Class B – Elkhorn South ; Class C1 – David City Aquinas ; Class C2 – Centennial ; Class D1 – Creighton ; Class D2 – Falls City Sacred Heart ; Six Man – Riverside.
