Over $6,800 And 5,632 Items Donated During  Adams Land & Cattle’s Food 4 Youth Challenge
‘Food Donations’ – Donations were sorted by Adams Land and Cattle staff to be distributed to the Custer County backpack programs and food pantries

Adams Land and Cattle is proud to announce that through the support of their third annual Food 4 Youth campaign, they were able to donate $6,830 and 5,632 items to Custer County backpack programs, which provide food and other needed items to send home with students. The Food 4 Youth Challenge, held October 4 – October 20, was open to area businesses, schools, and civic organizations.

In all, 37 Custer County businesses and organizations participated, collecting 5,632 snacks and meals for the Custer County backpack programs, which help provide food for their students, who may not know when their next meal will be.

Additionally, Adams Land and Cattle encouraged monetary and grocery gift card donations to support the programs through the Food 4 Youth fund administered by the Custer County Foundation. The total received by the end of the challenge was $6,830 which will be evenly distributed between all of the programs to support their future needs.

Businesses and organizations that participated include: Adams Land and Cattle, Absolute Plumbing, Ansley Lumber & Supply, Anselmo-Merna Schools, BD, Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce, Bruning Bank, Central Nebraska Medical Clinic, Custer County Foundation, Custer Federal State Bank, Evans Feed, Farm Credit Services of America, Flatwater Bank of Ansley, Four Corners 4-H Club, Gary’s Superfoods, Gibbons Electric, Great Western Bank, Grocery Kart, Insurance of the Heartland, Jones Insurance, Lillie Kate Boutique, Livvia’s Boutique, Main Street Styles, Muddy Creek Ag, Nebraska Integral Wellness, Nebraska State Bank, North Park Elementary – Broken Bow, Precious Angels Daycare, Runza, Sargent High School FBLA, Sargent Irrigation, Drilling, and Pipe, St. Joseph’s 8th Grade Religious Education Class, Team Physical Therapy, Thomas Livestock, and Triple Blessed Boutique.
