OSCEOLA, NE (Omaha World-Herald News Source) – A central Nebraska school district could see some major improvements to its buildings if voters approve a school bond issue Tuesday.
Voters in Osceola are being asked to approve a 20-year bond issue of 7.7 million dollars to help the district repair buildings. The election is being conducted completely through the mail. Ballots are due back to the Polk County clerk by 5 pm Tuesday.
Superintendent Steve Rinehart tells the Grand Island Independent that the bond issue would allow for a number of repairs including replacing the elementary and auditorium roofs both of which are leaking.
