Only Bales Lost In A Fire On The Last Day Of February

CUSTER COUNTY— A possible bearing going out on a semi-trailer axle resulted in the loss of around 6-8 bales, according to Broken Bow Fire and EMS Coordinator Andy Holland.

Broken Bow Fire was dispatched to the fire located south of Highway 2 near Road 443, around 7:13 PM on Thursday, February 28. Upon arrival, fire crews were able to remove some of the bales that were already in flames. Holland said that the fire department was able to extinguish the flames in just under an hour.

There was minimal damage to the rear of the semi and to the trailer.
