BROKEN BOW— A stray BB has sent Nebraska One Box Hunt board member, Kent Russell, to the hospital. According to Tara Russell’s updates through Facebook, Kent and his team were hunting on Saturday morning when a BB ricocheted off a tree/bush and struck Kent just below his right eye.

Kent was taken to the local ER where he was then transferred to Bryan West in Lincoln and from there to UNMC-Omaha. The BB is currently resting in Kent’s brain next to his carotid artery. Kent is scheduled for brain surgery to have the BB removed today by neural surgeons.

We are all behind you Kent for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!
