LINDSAY – One person was transported to the hospital after a two vehicle collision on Highway 91, west of Lindsay.
Platte County Sheriff Ed Wemhoff says a 30-year-old woman, was driving eastbound on Highway 91, in a 2016 Chevy Colorado, when she attempted to make a southbound turn at 535th Avenue.
Wemhoff says a juvenile driver, was following the Colorado, in a 2016 Chevy Impala, and impacted the back of the pickup when it was attempting to turn.
The 30-year-old woman was transported to a medical facility in Albion, where she was checked out and released, says Wemhoff. The juvenile driver was cited for following too closely.
The Impala was totaled in the collision, while the pickup suffered an estimated $6,000 in damage, says sheriff reports. The accident was reported at 5:58 p.m. on Monday, says reports.
