Omaha, NE.—Pothole gripes are filling up the city of Omaha’s complaint line.
For the first week of March there were 1,320 calls complaining about the car-eaters.
That one week number is twice as many chuck-hole grumbles that were heard for the entire month of January which found 673 complaints.
February found 998 folks calling in to beef.
A spokesman for Mayor Jean Stothert tells News Channel Nebraska that last week’s 1,320 calls does not mean there were complaints regarding 1,320 separate potholes.
According to the mayor’s office, the numbers undoubtedly included many folks complaining about the same potholes in various parts of town.
By the way that one week total of 1,320 calls was half the number of snow complaints received for the entire month of February, the city’s worst February snow month ever.
