Oconto Fun Days July 1, 2, & 3 2022

OCONTO–Let the fun begin! The annual Oconto Fun Days weekend kicks off with a mystery scavenger hunt and movie on Friday, ends with a golf scramble on Sunday, and is packed with plenty of festivities for the whole family all day on Saturday.

Dani Eggleston has been involved with the Colton’s Crusaders 5K Run/Walk since her son Colton passed away six years ago from leukemia at the age of seven. She said it means so much to the family to see the community remembering Colton and joining the fight against childhood cancer.

“That’s the biggest part is that they’re [people in the community] so kind and they just keep remembering Colton because that’s the biggest thing for us is that everybody just remembers him and says his name,” Dani Eggleston told KCNI/KBBN.

The theme for this year’s race and parade, according to Dani, is red, white, and blue “America strong!”

Oconto grows by leaps and bounds during the Fun Day weekend and Dani said she loves seeing friends, family, and all the “small town vibes.”

“We’re such a small town but everybody is a great support and they come out and support all these great things that get put on,” Dani Eggleston said.
