NPS Approves $1.5M Purchase of Our Savior Lutheran Church

NORFOLK - Norfolk Public Schools is adding another building to it district. At their school board meeting Monday, the board approved the purchase of Our Savior Lutheran Church for about $1.52 million. School officials had been targeting the building for a few months, and have said they would like to use the building to help alleviate the issues caused with their growing enrollment at the elementary level by housing the Little Panthers Preschool. Little Panthers director Melissa Jantz told News Channel Nebraska in July that the waiting list for the preschool stood at 45 students this fall. The 25,000-square foot Our Savior building at the corner of 25th Street and Norfolk Avenue is available because the church is in the process of moving to the former Eagle Distribution building south of town.
