Norfolk Man Sentenced to More Than 11 Years in Prison

NORFOLK - A Norfolk native found with 23 firearms in his house could spend more than 11 years in prison. 31-year-old Chadwick Lynn Board was sentenced to over 11 years in prison by United States District Judge Laurie Smith Camp on Monday. Board previously pled guilty after Madison County Investigators obtained a search warrant on March 2, 2017. Handguns, sawed-off shotguns and assault rifles where among the weapons found along with drug paraphernalia. Investigators believed the drugs found indicated the distribution of meth. At the time, Board was a convicted felon known to be distributing meth from his residence. Board was sentenced 137 months in prison and after serving he will be required to serve a Term of Supervised Release of five years. A consecutive five year prison term was added to his sentence because one of the firearms found was in connection with drug trafficking. The Madison County Sheriff's Department along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case.
