Norfolk man flown to trauma center after HWY 275 accident

STANTON – The Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to call regarding a motorcycle accident Sunday at 5:20 p.m. The 42 year old Norfolk man who was involved in the accident was transported to a Sioux City hospital for treatment of his injuries. The victim was headed westbound on U.S. Hwy 275 near 561st Avenue about four miles east of Norfolk when he lost control of the motorcycle. He  slid down the highway more than 430 feet ejecting him from the motorcycle. The victim was later transported directly from scene by Life Net medical helicopter to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Officials say the victim  was wearing a helmet and speed is considered a possible factor in the accident.
