Norfolk Man Arrested After Breaking Down Apartment Door

NORFOLK - A Norfolk man is in jail after witnesses say he broke down an apartment door. Police Captain Michael Bauer says 40-year old Shannon Vowell was arrested late Tuesday. Bauer says police were called to an apartment in the 100-block of North 3rd Street after a resident said Vowell had broken down a door and was causing a disturbance. Police say they could hear yelling coming from inside the apartment, and spoke with a woman who had an active protection order against Vowell. Vowell was arrested and taken to the Madison County Jail.
