NORFOLK --Someone dropped off more than trash at the city of Norfolk's transfer station Saturday night. Norfolk Fire officials said they encountered heavy smoke and flames when they arrived just after 5:00 pm. It took ten firefighters and five rigs to control the blaze in just under 10 minutes. No word yet on what caused the fire. Damage is estimated at $1,000. There were no injuries reported and it remains under investigation.
