Norfolk Fire Division needs airboats ASAP

NORFOLK — Norfolk city officials are requesting that anyone who owns an airboat bring it to the Norfolk Fire Division Station 1 on north 7th Street and Norfolk Ave as soon as possible. Norfolk Fire and Rescue is attempting to rescue 10 people trapped in a house southeast of Norfolk near the Highway 24 and 275 intersection. Norfolk Public Safety Director Shane Weider says their best hope to rescue these people is by using an air boat. If you have an air boat, you’re asked to take it to the Norfolk Fire Division main fire station near Norfolk Avenue and 7th Steeet.
