Stacey Guthard with the Callaway Chamber of Commerce has some exciting updates for the month of October!
–Friday, September 29th: Great Plains Communication is sponsoring a BURGER BASH from 5:00-6:30 p.m. before the football game in Arnold. Free will donation with proceeds going to the Junior class.
–Friday, September 29th: Last day to register for the Fall Decorating Contest! Stop by and see Lanett at the Village Office for details.
–Saturday, September 30th: Hangar 22 is hosting a Back Yard BBQ. Get your grill ready and come join the fun! John will furnish the meat to be cooked. You must furnish your own grill, charcoal, and wood. No Contest–just lots of fun and good food. Serving will begin at 6 p.m.
–Sunday, October 1st: Saint Boniface Catholic Church is having Taco Sunday from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Callaway Community Center!
–Sunday, October 8th: Morning Star is celebrating 100 Years! Morning Star Church worship begins at 10:30 a.m., lunch following the service. Open House/Dedication at 2:00 p.m.
–Tuesday, October 10th: A Virtual Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 2:30 p.m. at Jo’s Café! Come meet, greet, and welcome these new businesses to Callaway: Tracy Fox with Callaway Computers, Troy Johnson (Custom painter), and Rich Rundlett with Raindance.
–Thursday, October 19th: Monthly Chamber meeting at the Callaway Community Center at noon.
–Saturday, October 21st: The Callaway Community Foundation’s Fund-raising event “Bids, Boots, & BBQ.” The saloon opens at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 7:30 p.m., and then silent and live auctions. Questions can be directed to board member Liana Hrupek. Get your tickets starting October 1st at Nebraska State Bank, Great Western Bank, and Dynamic Insurance Services.
–Saturday, October 28th: Kids Fall Carnival–More information to come!
