EXETER – An Exeter man accused of cruelty to animals now faces new charges.
The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office filed 11 additional charges against 30-year-old Aaron Ogren on Wednesday.
Court documents show the new charges mainly focus on the prohibited sale of livestock. Prosecutors say Ogren sold bulls that weren’t his.
In April, investigators found more than 200 deceased cattle on Ogren’s property near Exeter.
More than 200 living cattle were removed from the property after having been found in questionable to poor condition.
Ogren faces up to 96 years in prison if convicted of all 40 charges.
