New Cell Tower Ordinance on Docket for City Council

COLUMBUS - The Columbus City Council is considering repealing and replacing the current cell tower ordinance. The city council could approve the new ordinance, and would repeal the existing ordinance, making changes to the current restrictions and regulations regarding the placement of 'wireless telecommunication facilities' in Columbus. Several area residents voiced their displeasure with the current regulations to the city council, after a cell tower was placed on the northeast side of Glur Park . The council will discuss the issue Monday night, at the regular city council meeting.
