Neligh Man Tabbed for Open Seat on Northeast Board of Governors

NORFOLK - A Neligh man has been named the newest member of the Northeast Community College Board of Governors. The board voted unanimously at its monthly meeting Thursday to appoint Delbert Ames as the new District I representative. Ames is a business consultant and a former senior manager at Vishay Intertechnology. He succeeds Don Oelsligle of Tilden, who announced his intention in September to resign his District I seat. The district consists of all or some of eight counties in northeast Nebraska. Ames said he will run for the seat when it comes up for election in 2018. He will be officially sworn in at the board’s December 14th meeting.
