WEST POINT - Folks in Nebraska are going to see a lot of road work in the near future.
Governor Ricketts and Director of the Department of Transportation, Kyle Schneweis explained some of the details of the upcoming infrastructure projects, Friday.
Totaling $600 million the project will improve Nebraska's roadways
During the press conference in West Point, Schneweis spoke about what drivers can expect during the construction process.
One goal is to minimize the impact on drivers.
Strategies include working at night in urban areas, giving incentives to construction workers for finishing early and monitoring how often contractors plan to close lanes of traffic.
