Nebraskaland Chiropractic Receive Grow Award from Broken Bow Chamber

Grateful for the growth in our practice.

- The Howards

The Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce held a Grow Nebraska Celebration Friday, March 16th for Nebraskaland Chiropractic. Dr. Colby Howard and Dr. Megan Howard received the award for investing in the community by building a beautiful new facility at 551 South E Street.

The new building was constructed on property where the original Dairy Queen and later the Dairy Corner were located for many years. After the Dairy Corner closed the building was vacant for some time and was later demolished. The lot was considered a prime location. Through the years several businesses looked into purchasing the property but a deal was not made until Dr. Colby and Dr. Megan Howard purchased the land February 2016. Dr. Colby Howard told KCNI/KBBN the majority of the materials were purchased locally and the contractors from this area were excellent to work with. Both doctors seemed very pleased with the new spacious facility.

Dr. Colby Howard graduated from Litchfield High School and then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for four years of undergraduate studies. In 2009, he graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota where he received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. After completing his education Howard practiced in Omaha and also worked with Dr. Wolf in Kearney. He returned home to also provide services in the Litchfield area in 2010. In March of 2012, Dr. Colby moved his practice to the Arrow Mini Mall in Broken Bow.

Dr. Megan Howard graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. She is a Nebraska native and was excited to come back to serve the Broken Bow community and surrounding areas, with her husband. Dr. Megan’s father, Dr. Riffey, was a practicing chiropractor around the Omaha area for over 27 years and has an aunt and uncle in California enjoying active practice. Dr. Megan spent nearly 7 years as a police officer serving the Lincoln community. She has completed over 200 hours of specialized training for the care of pregnant and pediatric patients through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

The Howards told those attending the celebration they are grateful for the growth they have had since they first started serving the area. The business continues to grow and the need for more space to provide their clients the best care possible helped them make the decision to further invest in the community. A ribbon cutting and open house will be held later this spring.
