Nebraska Flood Relief Fun Run to take place Saturday, April 13 in Broken Bow

BROKEN BOW–Lace up those sneakers and get ready to run (or walk) for a good cause! The Nebraska Flood Relief Fun Run will take place on Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m. and all of the event proceeds will be donated to flood relief efforts.

Event organizer Karly Boje is a Broken Bow native and encourages everyone to walk or run the 5K (3.1 miles) event and have a good time while supporting people in our community.

“I just think that this is a wonderful cause and all of Nebraska can use some help,” Boje said.

The Nebraska Flood Relief Fun Run will begin at 10 a.m. on April 13 and will start and end at the Melham Softball Complex in Broken Bow. Registration is $25 for adults ages 10 and up, $10 ages 5-10, and free for ages 5 and under.

All of the proceeds from the fun run will be donated to the Nebraska Farm Bureau Disaster Fund and then distributed to those in need.

“All of the proceeds are going to be donated to local Nebraska farmers, ranchers, and just anyone that has been affected by this flood,” Boje said.
