NORFOLK -- A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6:00 p.m. tonight for much of the Norfolk area while a Blizzard Warning remains in effect for Knox and Cedar counties also set to expire at 6:00 p.m. Snow and blowing snow are expected. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will cause whiteout conditions in blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 2 inches are expected. Portions of east central and northeast Nebraska and southwest and west central Iowa will be affected through 6:00 p.m. this evening. Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning and afternoon commute. Tree branches could fall. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
