NCN Investigation Reveals Missing Cash, Emails

Omaha, NE.—News Channel Nebraska has learned that a state investigation into the village of Pilger, torn apart by twin tornadoes in 2014, involves tens of thousands of dollars in questionable spending, concerns about a scam and an unknown number of missing village emails.

Village Clerk Kimberly Neiman has been suspended with pay indefinitely while the investigation continues.

NCN has unearthed check after check, 17 checks in all, ranging from four thousand dollars to 25 thousand dollars.

All but a few co-signed with Kimberly Neiman’s initials.

The checks are part of a public records request by News Channel Nebraska which found an insurance document also signed by Kimberly Neiman and claiming an estimated loss of over 194 thousand dollars, insurance money, a reimbursement, that Pilger has yet to see, according to Pilger’s Attorney.

Neiman has not been available for comment.
