In the KBBN game of the week, the top ten rated Mullen Broncos defeated Anselmo-Merna 58-12 to remain undefeated. Lane Edis had a big night in leading the Mullen attack. With the help of his offensive line, Edis rushed 20 times for 191 yds and 4 touchdowns. Edis also scored on defense with an interception return for a touchdown. Mullen quarterback Brady Gracey completed 9 passes for 81 yards and one touchdown. Gracey’s touchdown was a 4 yard toss to Zach Sweet. Anselmo-Merna’s scores came on a 33 yard touchdown run by Cameron Downey and a 29 yard touchdown pass from AM quarterback Jace Leibhart to Destry Miller. Mullen will travel to Wauneta-Palisade next Friday (9/15) and Anselmo-Merna will be at Central Valley.
