Motorcycle/Deer Collision with Injury Reported on Highway 2

ANSLEY—Approximately 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 a deer entered Highway 2, coming from the west ditch, near mile marker 296 south of Ansley. Motorcycle driver Brian Weston of South Dakota hit the deer. Weston experienced right shoulder injuries and was transported to Kearney by Ansley Fire and Rescue with non-life-threatening injuries. Mason City Fire and Rescue and the Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) were also on the scene. The CCSO reported that Weston was wearing a helmet. Hunter’s Towing and Repair assisted with removing the motorcycle from the road.
