Mother Nature Decides More Ice Would Be Good
Preliminary estimated ice totals for Thursday according to the National Weather Service
VALLEY - If you haven't yet gotten your fill of scraping ice off your vehicle, then you're in luck. The National Weather Service office in Valley says another batch of freezing rain is likely to move through eastern Nebraska Wednesday evening. NWS forecasters say light snow south of I-80 will gradually change to freezing rain Wednesday evening and move its way northeast, dropping precipitation into Thursday evening. Anywhere from five-hundredths to a tenth of an inch of ice is possible for most of eastern Nebraska. Hazardous driving conditions are expected, although winds at this time are forecast to be less than 10 miles per hour as the system moves through.
