Monroe Man Given 2 Years in Prison for Fleeing Police, Driving While Revoked

SCHUYLER, Neb. - A Monroe man has been given jail time for illegally driving a vehicle and trying to flee police, according to court records. 37-year-old Eleazar Oceguera was sentenced to two years in prison in Colfax County after being convicted of the two felonies earlier this year. Records say Oceguera was driving with a revoked license and when an officer tried to pull him over, he fled, ending up in a roadside ditch on Rd. 9. Oceguera's license will be suspended for 15 years and he's credited with 17 days already served. He had a habitual criminal charge dropped in exchange for his plea.
